Hey all,
Earlier this week I installed kernel 2.4.18-17.7.x in redhat 7.1-- i have 2
ethernet devices in my computer. One pci for the lan, and one usb for the
internet. The usb device uses the pegasus driver. Prior to the upgrade, the
internet adapter is reporting very unusually high numbers for both the
error count and the carrier count when i ask for an ifconfig report on that
device. Before the upgrade everything was like the lan, meaning 0 0 0 0 0
for all errors etc. The only errors that occured were when the cable modem
was unplugged. Now, it seems to be having 1 or 2 errors every few seconds.
Incidentally, the error count and carrier count are moving one right behind
the other (no doubt there is a connection). Has anyone encountered this
before? If so how were you able to resolve this? I will attach the output
of ifconfig to demonstrate the errors (which represent uptime of 4 days)

Thanks!
