Running redhat 7.1 with a 3ware IDE RAID controller (which looks like scsi
to the OS). I upgraded to the
latest kernel 2.4.18-17.7.x suggested in a security bulletin. Everything
seems to be working OK. However, during boot, just before it loads the
3ware driver I get an error:

kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno=2

In modules.conf, scsi_hostadapter is aliased to 3w-xxxx. However, the module
is
definitely getting loaded somewhere:

[root@rhtemp1 /etc]# lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
3c509 10496 1 (autoclean)
reiserfs 185824 1 (autoclean)
3w-xxxx 32256 5
sd_mod 12832 10
scsi_mod 103744 2 [3w-xxxx sd_mod]

After I posted this ? to comp.os.linux, I can tell you I'm not the only 1 w/
this problem/issue.
But, so far, no resolution, only company. Has something changed & I no
longer need to
alias scsi_hostadapter in modules.conf?

Anyone know how to fix this or if I should even worry about it? TIA
