I made the changes you stated, and need to rebuild the configuration, how do I do that?

Anyways get the BATBOOK, this is a great resource for cfging sendmail. By the looks of your error message it seems that you have some DNS issues, or you are suffering from one of the most common RedHat sendmail mis-configs. Please check your /etc/mail/sendmail.mc file and verify that the following line is commented out: DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA') the line should look like this: dnl DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA') Once you have verified that this line is commented out, check you DNS. If this line is not commented out, please do so and rebuild your configuration (this does not mean restarting the D.) Unnessesary running of the keyboard-- Sendmail is a great MTA, after all it started this whole thing(or at least helped), don't listen to those Postfix and QMAIL pep's, sendmail has been tried and tested for many years before these MTA were even "written". Good Luck. Jeremy _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
