the only other thing I can think of, is to make sure your windows box (connected to the internet) is your gateway and that Linux knows that it's your gateway...but I assume you've configured this already...

maybe also make sure that your ISP's DNS servers' IPs are configured in your linux box...you can test if it's a DNS error by:

http://216.239.51.100/

if you get google, then it's DNS you need to configure...

Thanks, but I have W2K and that's one of it's features. I don't have any problems to share my dial up connection with another windows machine but when I tried to do it with the Linux one I can't browse the Internet from Linux. Actually I set up my computer to dual boot (Windows and Linux). When I boot in Windows I don't have problems browsing the Internet using the shared connection on the other machine. I do have problems though when I boot into Linux - I'm unable to browse the Internet. katrin

 Hi,

this sounds like you want ICS on a windows box:

this should work if you're using win98 or greater...

Hi,I've recently installed RH 7.2 on my machine at home. I have one more computer which is Windows based. Both computers see each other when I use ping. How can I configure my Linux machine to access the Internet thorough my other PC (using the LAN I have established). The PC is connecting to the I-net using dial-up.  Thanks,Katrin
