ow did u install mysql? , firtst chek if it's installed by default (not  happens in the stock redhat 7.1 install, you must explicit select the packages, altough they provided them.) in RH 7.1   type the following as root:   cd /etc/rc.d/init.d ./mysql restart It's running?   ------------------------- Ra�l D.
