    Consider the upgrading your operating system.
    RedHat 7.2 and higher have journaling with ext3 filesystems, which are
a slight modification of ext2 filesystems.  With 7.2 and higher, ext2
filesystems can be made into ext3 ones by using the "-j" parameter of
their version of tune2fs.  Journaling makes for simple fast recovery from
