... and for those who are seriously suckers for punishment , who insist on sticking with sendmail , you can install a package called webmin onto your system. It has a nice little front end for doing all of the system admin on your machine using your browser , and also includes a sendmail configuration screen that I have used quite easily and quite successfully.
There is also M4 , which allows you to edit the sendmail.mc file which in turn is used to rebuild sendmail.cf.
