I was unaware that 3 com has anything to do with US Robotics but what do I know, I assume it is an external modem and is connected to a serial port. No driver is needed. I am also assuming that when you boot with the modem attached kudzu is not asking you to configure the modem? That should not happen if you serial ports are properly set up. You might try setserial to check that or cat /proc/interrupts. -- ------------------------------------------- Aaron Konstam Computer Science Trinity University 715 Stadium Dr. San Antonio, TX 78212-7200
