I have almost run out of room on my /var partition. I installed a new disk, mounted and formated it as /var1. I dropped to run level one, backed up var to tape, rolled it out to the new disk. All permissions are correct and so forth.
I cannot umount the var partition. I tried booting with a floppy, and some other things, but no luck. I tried a few variations in the fstab, but no luck. It still insists it has files in use.
