implements some of the things you may have heard of.. from the
abstract amazing ones like GNS, the GNU Naming System down to
the practical and immediately useful ones like the anonymous
file sharing based on GAP. If you're looking for political

But the real news is what Gabor announced today:
> Development of the social messaging system component of GNUnet is making
> progress.
> Now the PSYCstore is able to perform state assignment operations and local
> applications can request stored state variables from it.
> The social service and its API is ready to use now. It allows applications to
> host and enter places, send & receive messages, as well as access the history
> and stored state of places. The social API also uses the GNU Name System for
> the naming of places.
> Next steps will be a client application to demonstrate the use of the social
> API, and finishing the initial functionality planned for the multicast
> service and API, which will allow basic communication with other peers, then
> we will work on an improved multicast design that would offer more resiliency
> and performance.
There is a secushare meeting in Berlin tomorrow looking at
the new developments, discussing the options for a GUI

Another news is that we are running some announcement lists
on Bitmessage since it respects metadata and allows to speak
to thousands of recipients whose anonymity is preserved.
