The RT311 costs CAD$163, and is a turn-key solution for port mapping and
internet sharing through either a proxy or NAT.

I thought that this would be better than buying a P100 or other computer.

Simply put...hardware firewalls are much more expensive compared to
software.  How much does a Pentium 100 running Linux with IPtables cost
compared to a Cisco/Sonicwall/(insert any hardware firewall).
