Thanks Steve, But auditd is already running, and all process are OK. Some more details on the problem,
>From one workstation (i.e.. Ultra10 / Solaris8 / BSM enabled, auditd running) select "login to remote host from the option menu and attempt to start a login session with another host (i.e.. Netra T1 / Solaris8 / BSM enabled, auditd running). All that occurs is it starts to go but all I get is a black screen. I usually have to kill the "Xsun" process on the local workstation from a remote telnet or such to get my normal console login back. This also occurs from Tektronix X-Terminals that we have. Once BSM is configured and auditing is on, it a no go, but following a "bsmunconv" and then a reboot, no problems, system will allow a remote login in this manner. process all appear OK, nothing defunct, reboot usually take care of them. Not sure on this one, A couple of other workstations allow a remote login of this type, and they have the same audit config? on;y they have been up for a vast number of days.
