Question about Retina (and probably others as well): I downloaded the eval version to begin evaluation of several brands for future purchase and need some clarification. When I run a scan against at test server running IIS I get loads of cgi script vulnerbilities, however, most of them are old (bugtraq and CVE dates)and really not relavent to the installed system. The question is this: Does retina have updates on recent exploits? Do they keep their vulnerbility DB up to date. At this point I really do not want to contact a sales person, I need to know the truth!!! thanks Nick >Received: (qmail 723 invoked from network); 28 Feb 2002 21:51:29 -0000 >Received: from outgoing3.securityfocus.com (HELO outgoing.securityfocus.com) (66.38.151.27) > by mail.securityfocus.com with SMTP; 28 Feb 2002 21:51:29 -0000 >Received: from lists.securityfocus.com (lists.securityfocus.com [66.38.151.19]) > by outgoing.securityfocus.com (Postfix) with QMQP > id 12185A31EB; Thu, 28 Feb 2002 12:06:16 -0700 (MST) >Mailing-List: contact security-basics- [EMAIL PROTECTED]; run by ezmlm >Precedence: bulk >List-Id: <security-basics.list-id.securityfocus.com> >List-Post: <mailto:security- [EMAIL PROTECTED]> >List-Help: <mailto:security-basics- [EMAIL PROTECTED]> >List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:security-basics- [EMAIL PROTECTED]> >List-Subscribe: <mailto:security-basics- [EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Delivered-To: mailing list security- [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Delivered-To: moderator for security- [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Received: (qmail 8071 invoked from network); 27 Feb 2002 18:14:
