If all you need to do is to pick some appropriate algorithms and use library implementations of same, then you may find my survey paper <URL:http://bent.latency.net/crypto/> a helpful orientation. If however you need to actually implement the crypto, I'd recommend doing some more reading. Bruce Schneier's Applied Cryptography would be a good starting point. -Bennett
