I'm in charge of a windows 2000 server running IIS with all current patches for a part of my company. we are using ASP pages to serve content that is primarily used internally by our employees. Lately we have been getting a lot of "500 server too busy" errors so I began running performance logs on the server. they show a very high # of connections (like over 3000) without any corresponding increase in pages being served. It seems that somebody is just opening the connection and letting it sit. Has anybody else run across this before and if so what can I do about it?
