It is as secure as you can make it. ;-) Generally speaking, Notes/Domino system doesn't allow you to get the new generation viruses (those script beasts that rely on MS technology) easily, and the way databases are made is more secure out of the box. However, Domino has it's known vulnerabilities and if you don't take care of them (there's not that much of them, really) your data is just as vulnerable as on any other system with known problems. I'm not sure what do you want to do with Domino? If it is just about sending and receiving e-mail, shared calendar etc. then you can use both products with some (or some more) security tweaking.
