If you want a real solution that will work and don't want the cheap, easy, fast way. Check out Alvarions wireless solutions. All of their products are FHSS (frequency hopping spread spectrum) on top of 128 bit RC4 crypto. A bit pricey but worth it if your looking for wireless with some security. Oviously wireless isen't the way to go if your transmitting highly sensitive data but for home use it's great. Go with their BreezeAccess or BreezeNet product lines. If you don't like Alvarion. Just stay away from DSSS products.
