This is a newbie question. Hope this is the right place
to post this question. If not please direct me.

We have a network on pure IP. We use Lotus Notes
as mail system. Some users would like to dial in to
collect their mail from home. I have set up a RAS
server with IP address being given from our internal
network range when the users dial in. This allows
RAS users to map drive to our public shares which
we dont want particularly when they log in from home.

By allocating IP address from a private address
range 192.168.0.* and then using Reverse proxy we
can limit access of the RAS users only to Notes
server for mail exchange only. Is it a secure way of
handling RAS users ? Are there any other way?
We are also looking into Call back options.

Can Security gurus suggest a more secured way ? Is
is secure enough ?

Thanks NN
