Hello,

I would appreciate any information(anecdotal or otherwise)on your 
experiences using a Managed Security Service Provider for monitoring 
security 24X7. I am researching (from floor to ceiling)the possibility of 
using MSSP monitoring service to provide 24X7 coverage of IDS and depending 
on the service other hardware or software pieces as well. I have large 
amounts of information from vendors but I would like to hear what people 
have to say (good or bad)that have worked with 24X7 outsourced coverage "in 
the trenches".

Any opinions out there on: Riptech, Counterpane, ISS, (SecurityFocus?), 
Veritect, Netsolve, Guardent, Vigilinx, Verisign, Secureworks, Symantec, 
Genuity, Sprint, EDS, IBM, AT&T, Worldcom/UUNET or Computer Sciences 
Corporation?
