I know this isn't what you asked for, but maybe try Mindterm on a web
server.  You can connect to it over port 80, than SSH from there to the
remote box.

Thanks to all of you that mentioned putty I would love to use it, BUT
as far as i can see it's NOT SOCKS complient. acourding to the web
page http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ which says
"The latest version is beta 0.52. " 0.52 does _NOT_ suport socks

Can any one tell me if there is a later version ( sock is in the
whissh list but not there yet.  scordin to simon's ( the auther)
anonymous cvs server it's being worked on but i dont know the current
status

if Simon is workin on a socks version the i would rather not shell
out at this stage and get an inferior product
