We all know that keeping up to date on patches is vital, and a royal P.I.T.A. when you have lots of systems. I'm curious as to how many admins use "TEST" systems for patches before applying them to live systems. I've seen to many a hotfix or patch ruin a good system. I try to have a seperate server that is close to the one I will be patching, and try the fix there first.
Of course there is always the, wait and see what happens to the other guy routine ;) Which I know most of us do. Does anyone using update expert (updateexpert.com) ever have problems with automatic patching of buggy patches? Chris Santerre System Admin
