One choice is the Symantec model 100 found here http://enterprisesecurity.symantec.com/content/displaypdf.cfm?pdfid=82&PID=n a&EID=0 Its a fair amount more sophisticated that the typical dlink, linksys et al, and sells for approx $400 US. or one of the lower end solutions from Sonic wall found here http://www.sonicwall.com/products/access.asp . The lower end models like the tele 3 probably do all (more ?) that you need and start at <$500.00 US, and of course you could just build up a Linux based f/w on a multihomed PC for essentially free if you have a spare pc lying about. -----Original Message----- From: Derrenbacker, L. Right now I have a client that's only 5 users, and they $1,000 for a firewall would be pushing it. The only fancy thing they need is the ability to let exchange and terminal server ports to be mapped to the internal IP addresses. Would something like a cablemodem/dsl router be sufficient in a case like this? If it depends, what does it depend on? Thanks in advance.
