If you are looking at WebSense, all I can recommend is that you put
it through some stringent tests. I have used the MS Proxy version in my
company for three years or so and have had a few problems. Must of them were
with previous versions, however the nightmare began when administering more
than just my test users.
If it is at all possible, pay good attention to the way it admins large
amounts of users, I am NOT recommending NOT going for WebSense (that _is_ a
double negative) just make sure it meets your requirements.
I have now replaced the MS proxy server with a Linux box running Squid and
SquidGuard for content checking. Performance wise, it kicks some!
If you are interested, I have made a little walkthrough on setting up
SquidGuard and integrating it with DOMAIN logins to validate users etc.
