Solaris 8 is not an OpenSolaris distribution. The OpenSolaris aliases are not a support channel for any non OpenSolaris distribution. Please log a support call with Sun Service or your support vendor. Alternatively please formulate your question in terms of Solaris Express or some other OpenSolaris distribution and we will be able to help you.
