and this method doesn't remove all stains from the disk anyway it just 
reduces them so they can't be easily seen ;-)

I'm not suggesting bleaching for the user interface just for this 
discussion so that I didn't use a word already used and I was purposely 
avoiding using erase (should have said that!).
