I read too fast, and was thinking of "propogate" as share across
multiple zones.
If this is s10 take a look at the zonecfg command "add fs"
This is the way sparse zones work in s10 anyway. Take a look at the
prototype
zone configuration files (including the TX one) in /etc/zones.

Since this question is more appropriate for zones-discuss, I have sent
a reply there.
If the cu is running TX, there is a way to put it into a zone and
export it such that
higher-level zones can access it. It's a little complicated, look up
the directions for
exporting auto_home stuff. That is for TX on s10, no idea what is up
with Nevada these
days.
My understanding is without TX there is no way to do this.

hello,
i am trying to figure out how to install a package in a global zone
under
/opt and be able to access the binaries of the package from a
non-global

in other words the users of these package do not have access to the
global
zone and only have access to the non-global. How do I propagate this
installation to the non-global zone?
thanks for your help.
