I have a specific problem (mutt talking with an Exchange IMAP server) that
requires the LOGIN authenticator. For some reason the 2.1.15 version of
libsasl in OpenSolaris/Solaris-Next/Illumos doesn't contain the login plugin.
So I went ahead and shoehorned it in:

If anyone could review the code and answer some background questions, that'd be
great. The questions are:
* Why no login in the gate now?
* Why no updates to 2.1.23? I know we have one patched vulnerability, but
are there others?
