I could see the bumper sticker:
"If passwords are outlawed, only criminals will have passwords."

Actually, this is a good example of what happens when non-technical people make 
decisions about technology.

According to one French poster in the /. forum, who read the law, the law only 
applies if passwords are already collected, which is not the case for Solaris 
and *IX-type systems.
