Florin, There was one request I forgot to add about the new MNF package. This may not even be possible as it seems to plauge the whole Mandrake distribution.
Can we do something about getting solid mirrors? I understand that you'll probably tell me to buy the full MNF version for this, but that's a seperate issue... It seems that the urpmi mirrors are either experiencing key problems or must be frequently changed. With the desktop version it's an annoyance; with the firewall version it's a security threat. Do you have any words of wisdom on this subject Florin? -----Original Message----- From: Florin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 26, 2004 12:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Security Firewall] testers wanted Florin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > The next two weeks will represent an intense MNF update process. Hi, I'm glad to see that several testers will be available ... that will speed up my work. Thank you in advance. I will upload tomorrow or the day after tomorrow an MNF version (an rpm-packages version, not the final iso) to the usual location, my web site: the rpm packages will work on cooker but probably it will be ok to use them on MandrakeCommunity or MandrakeLinux 10.X aswell This version will first contain several features: - openswan - pptp (based on paswwords but if you I can save time if you send me sasl or radius setup files - I will add that anyway soon) - virtual interfaces support - vlan interfaces support - bridging More feature will be added ... step by step during the following days .. I must warn you that several bugs will first be present there ... Indeed, I have so many ideas and configuration files waiting to be updated that there will be some bugs at the beggining ... If you want to test the features ... you'd better know how to configure it without the web interface in order to be able to see if there is a problem ... ... and yes, Bernardo, I will try to upload the support to your DSL modem aswell :o) have a nice day, -- Florin Grad http://www.mandrakesoft.com http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~florin/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
