Hi, MNF uses freeswan for the vpn connections. Have you tried the \\samba_server_IP syntax ? Do you have a WINS server on your remote lan ? If not, you should configure the samba server to act as WINS aswell. Also, the freeswan Mailing List is your friend: Simply check out the following threads: https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2002-November/016396.html https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2002-October/015044.html https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2002-June/011276.html https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2002-January/007146.html some samples of a samba configuration file https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2001-December/005580.html https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2001-November/005503.html https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2001-November/005545.html for smb over ipsec speed traffic issues: https://lists.freeswan.org/archives/users/2002-October/015400.html my 2cts, -- Florin http://www.mandrakesoft.com http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~florin/
