Hope someone can help with this problem - I've trawled through past mailings with similar problems, but can't find the answer.
I've MNF 8.2 set up on ADSL, with 2 NICs. I have Transparent proxy running and the MNF box acting as the DNS server for the PCs running on the fixed IP network.
Web browsing for the PCs works without a problem, however mail (SMTP and POP3) fails to work. The strange thing is, checking the shorewall messages shows that the ports 110, and 25 as being accepted. However, the mail client reports back that the mail host cannot be contacted. I've even specified the IP address of the mail server incase the problem lies with the DNS.
Can anyone help?? Florin - I know you usually require a dump of the config files however I cant provide it as I'm not at the customers site...
