Hi again, as I said, the /etc/sysconfig/named file will tell you what is the ROOTDIR value. In mnf, this is /var/lib/named-chroot so the /etc/named.conf file is NOT used at all. Instead, we use /var/lib/named-chroot/etc/named.conf
I hope this is more clear now, >Dieter Schtze <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > Florin, > i put these entries only in the /etc/named.conf after i have activated > the dns caching, but i have these entries also in > the /var/lib/named-chroot/etc/named.conf. > Is there a restart of the dns after reconnect and can this overwrite > the /var/lib/named-chroot/etc/named.conf with the template in /etc or > why i have these entries there. > > Regards > > Dieter -- Florin http://www.mandrakesoft.com http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~florin/
