Hi again, 

as I said, the /etc/sysconfig/named file will tell you what is the ROOTDIR
value. In mnf, this is /var/lib/named-chroot so the /etc/named.conf file
is NOT used at all. Instead, we use /var/lib/named-chroot/etc/named.conf

I hope this is more clear now,
