Hi,

My network cards do not properly deal with MII:

Feb 9 11:35:23 mnf2-b2 ifplugd(eth0)[5437]: ifplugd 0.21b initializing.
Feb 9 11:35:23 mnf2-b2 ifplugd(eth0)[5437]: Using interface eth0/00:60:97:B1:C6:1D with driver <3c59x> (version: LK1.1.19)
Feb 9 11:35:23 mnf2-b2 ifplugd(eth0)[5437]: Using detection mode: SIOCGMIIPHY
Feb 9 11:35:23 mnf2-b2 ifplugd(eth0)[5437]: Initialization complete, link beat not detected.
Feb 9 11:35:23 mnf2-b2 network: Bringing up interface eth0: failed

What is the best way to get rid of ifplugd? I tried to switch it off,
by adding a MII_NOT_SUPPORTED="yes" line at
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-interface-name

but it looks as if the GUI overwrites this when configuring an interface
through it. The GUI itself has no option to get rid of ifplugd, does
anyone know of a workaround?
