some ideas:

- any relevant infos from the
/var/log/httpd2-naat/httpd2-naat.error_log file while hitting apply ?

- you can make sure that you have the right entries in /etc/modprobe.conf ?
eth0  b44  
eth1  via-rhine
eth2  via-rhine
eth3  via-rhine
eth4  via-rhine

and try to detect again ?
