I'm vaguely inclined toward the sig02 proposal. I think I need a more complete writeup in order to offer an official opinion (e.g. with more detailed examples of usage and a discussion of the effect on the act01 format, if any). It's sad that we have no good way to specifying groups of serial numbers or delegation to an online S/N authority. Can we do any better there?
