Sorry, haven't more, therefore I've asked here. ;)

That mail is not about TLS 1.1 at all. It's about a suggested fix(ish)
in OpenSSL that was entirely within the TLS 1.0 protocol.

Ah, ok, thanks. Looks like I misunderstood that. I believe I've read some more comments elsewhere about interop problems which are the reason why TLS > 1.0 isn't widely used, but maybe I confused that too. I haven't found those comments again (through a quick search).
