Key deliverables for this position, will be to provide daily operational support for all firewall security devices, performance monitoring and tuning, availability and drive reporting characteristics and mertrics Responsibilities: Provide 7x24 support for existing and future firewall systems. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues with firewalls and interfacing systems and appliances. Be a consulting resource representing Enterprise Information Security to business units and IT organizations within the company. Provide security consulting and advisement when needed for various projects and initiatives. Support efforts between Information Security and implementation teams. Support and implement future network architectures and security requirements based on business need and information security strategies. Provide guidance and consultation for security related questions from users or managers. Provide technical assistance and support to various departments within Enterprise Information Security and IT departments. Knowledge and Skills Expert knowledge in managing Checkpoint Firewalls and AppShield implementations. Must have more than 3 years experience in managing firewall in large complex network architectures. Must be Checkpoint Certified (Preferrably CCSE Plus) and prefer AppShield / Sanctum Certification. Strong network and security experience, including indepth knowledge of network diagnostic, and problem resolution. Knowledgeable of new security technologies and strategies. Indepth UNIX and Nokia knowledge / experience a must. Broad business and security knowledge Influence and consulting skills. Solutions driven. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
