I am a very experienced (20+ years) information security professional currently seeking work.
My position at the moment is Practice Manager in a dedicated information security consultancy - as was my last position. My seven years of experience in the consultancy business is built on a very solid thirteen years' experience directing information security programs in the financial services market. I create and implement information security strategy and architecture. In the past two years I have put in place information security programs for multi-national clients in the petro-chemcial, financial services and pharmaceutical industries. As part of my role (both in a corporate setting and in consultancy) I create and implement information security policy and standards and, once those are in place and functioning, go on to deliver risk assessment, data classification and security awareness. I have extensive experience in directing staff and I believe strongly in creating an environment where staff are motivated and fulfilled. I have been published in book form, white papers and in industry journal articles and my regular speaking engagements at local and national events ensure both a visibility that brings credit to my employer and a conintuous learning experience for me.
