Role: Pre-sales Engineer Based: Munich Salary: to €80K OTE ABOUT THE POSITION We are conducting a high-level search for a successful Security Sales Engineer to help integrate our new intrusion detection / intrusion protection line of products. The successful candidate will have a strong record of providing technical sales support and training for IT security products. The Security Sales Engineer’s primary responsibility includes pre-sales technical sales support, development of technical sales presentation/tools for internal and external audiences, and product demonstrations. As an extension of the sales organization, the Security Sales Engineer will play a key role in the development and closing of large and strategic opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 5 years experience as a sales engineer supporting software products targeted at the IT Security market (Intrusion Detection product experience is highly desirable) Demonstrated expertise and success in computer networking or software product management is essential Proven ability to be able to respond to customer objections. Strong knowledge of Windows NT, Windows 2000, Solaris, and HP-UX administration Familiarity with computer network architectures and protocols Solid verbal and group presentation skills Ability to work in a dynamic team Formal sales training: Sandler, Solution Selling, Target Account Selling, Miller-Heiman, etc. Ideal candidate profile will offer strong business acumen, integrity, professionalism, and customer relations skills Entreprenurial, take charge style Willingness to travel College Degree or equivalent experience Our client offers a comprehensive health and welfare benefits package; progressive stock ownership programs; liberal PTO, holiday and flextime programs, as well as competitive comp plans!
