Hello aaaaaaa aaaaaaa,
Recovery process take a long time.
Well, it is a complicated process involving multiple I/O reads and writes.
> Can i calculate time for recovery?
You can look into data/<database_name>_files directory and count log files
(*.llog). A larger number means a longer recovery. The more precise
evaluation isn't possible at the moment.
Can i reduce time for that?
Nope, you can't now. But we will add some option to make some tuning
possible.
Or is a best way to use backup and restore after failure?
In fact you can reduce recovery time by making hot-backup of the database
with -checkpoint option (see section 2.5.3 of Sedna Administration Guide)
and then restoring back from it. However, in this case you'd lose all
changes made after backup had been taken. Sedna recovery process, on the
other hand, restores all commited transactions.
