Hi Malcolm,
Unfortunately, there is no vacuum-like procedure for Sedna (except for
reloading with se_exp export, se_exp restore). Though if it grows too fast
(without actual data growing) that's strange. At least we can check that
there are no leaks or some obvious non-optimal data file usages.
1. How many updates do you run? What kind of updates (mostly inserts,
replaces or deletes)?
2. Do actual data grow? Check it with se_exp utility - just serialize
everything and compare with the initial state.
3. Could you try to reproduce this without indexing. Is result the same?
4. Run doc('$document_<name>') for stand-alone documents
and doc('$collection_<name>') for collection to retrieve statistics. Reload
with se_exp export, se_exp restore. Retrieve statistics again and send us
results.
5. Could you give us something to try to reproduce this on our side?
