THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF SEEDS THAT I HAVE FOR TRADE I will try to
provide as good a
description as I can as well as growing requierments to help you out

LIMITED - have a very small amount of seeds to trade (first come
first serve)
FAIR - have a some seeds but may run out if a lot of peploe want it
GOOD - have a good amount of seeds can handle all requests
LOTS - have ton's of the stuff (will most likely add extra seeds to

N/A - have not yet picked the seeds or sheled them (they will be

CROP FAILURE - not much if any seeds this year sorry (try again next

SEEDS
ANNUALS
**CELOME**
-/ an annual about 100cm 40" high with 15cm 6" flower heads
followed by spidery seed pods.
Grows in sun or semi-shade.
Used for cut flowers -
rose queen contrasting pink shades.(good)
**KOCHIA**
-/ "mexican firebush,red summer cypress,burning bush"
kochia trichophyla
Useful as a hedging or as a specimen,
kochia is drought tolerant and will thrive in ordinary,
well-drained soil in full sun.
Feathery foliage grows in a globe shape 2' - 3' high.
Though the flower is insignificant,
the leaves are wounderful for
floral arrangements and the entire bush
turns a flaming purple red in fall.
Seeds need light to germinate.
A perfect filler untill your perennial hedge grows.
May reseed (has for me).(LOTS)

A hardy,attractive biennial featuring varrious
shades of blue bell shaped flowers.
Produces huge spikes of long lasting blooms.
Do not cover seed needs light to germinate.
Flowers the second year from seed.
2'-3' tall zones 5-8.(lots)
**BERGAMOT-MONARDA-BEE BLAM **-
A very beautiful perennial
with masses of flowers from july to september.
Grows 2 1/2' - 3' tall.
Plant in a sunny to part shade
location with well drained soil.
Plants should be divided every three years to keep vigrous.

A mixture of several colors including
red,pink,fusia,rose,lavender and burgundy leaf. (fair)
**COLUMBINE/AQUILEGIA**

**Heliopsis - helianthoides - False Sunflower**
- //OX EYE - YELLOW
single and semi-doubble yellow sunflower like blooms
about 2" around with brown centers
(very nice late summer bloomer)
approx 3' to 4' in height and clump forming
(stays where you plant it) when you plant it donot cover the seed
much
it needs light to germanate ,
blooms second year from seed.(FAIR)
**Hollyhock**
-/ Giant White -
Eaisly 8ft tall single white flowers with yellow centers,
tall gracefull plants for the back of the boarder.
An exstreamly versitile plant,
in shade topping out at only 3' feet tall
and in regular full sun averaging 8' feet,
but the Lion Head Seed House record for this one is an amazing 16'
2" tall!
Set by one of their customers in canada.

**GLOBE CENTAUREA **

Always a conversation piece in my garden,
globe centaurea is a tall perennial
with large fuzzy basal leaves and
stout stems bearing yellow artichoke-like flowers
3"-4" in diameter. Flowers can be dried.
Ht.3-5',Sp 18" Zones 3-8 full sun (LIMITED)
**GOLDEN MARGARIUTE DAISY**
A very nice shrub like perennial
with fern like folage covered in small yellow daisy
like flowers which begine in july and last
right though till hard frost or snow.
Plants form large clumps quickly but
should be staked if upright apperance is desired.
Full sun or part shade,
will grow in poor soil
a good perennial boarder filler. (fair)
**LYCHNIS - lychnis chaledonica **-
-/maltese cross
large showy umbels of brilliant scarlet red flowers
sit high above the foliage july though august.
Rich green foliage is very fine,
almost hair-like in appearance.
Very popular for borders and cut flowers.
Performs well in dry sandy soil.
height 60-90cm 24-36" (GOOD)
**MALVIA**
-/PINK PERFECTION
Soild pink five petal blooms appear in june and last right into
august,
an excelent plant for mass display and small hedge plantings,
attracts humming birds and bees to the garden
A realy outstanding plant that jumps out
from all the green folage in the garden and makes a statment.
30-40 cm/12"-18" tall. zone 5 (LOTS)
**Lunaria-money plant**
-/Purple - Especially valued for the decorative,
large flat,silvery seed pods.
Pretty purple flowers grow in loose spikes.
Attractive in a mass. Zone 4 (limited)
**Mullein-Verbascum-**
-/"scrophulariaceae mullin"
120 - 150 cm 4-5ft towering spires of rich yellow blooms
rising from felt like, wide foliage. (LOTS)
**RUDBECKIA** -

A great black eyed susan mix with the widest
color range I have seen. Mix includes yellow,
burgundy,mahoganey,brown,tan,
orange and more bicolors then
you can shake a stick at!(LOTS)

-Large, very showy,spikes of pale pink flowers.

4' to 6' tall large leafed plant with yellow flowers mid summer
about 2" around with about 6
flowers per stalk and 4 - 6 stalks per plant

or as green shell beans later.
will climb up to 10 to 12 feet and bears bright scarlet flowers.

**SQUASH **-
PEPPER SQUASH UNKNOWEN ---------
the best pepper squash I have grown in the garden yet,
really good flavor good production even in stresfull weather.
Unfortunatly it came to me with no name,
but I highly recomend it for anyone
who likes squash to give this varriety a try.

**TOMATOES**-
WHITE BEAUTY --- (heirloom)
Nice smooth tomato that ripens pure white. Full tomatoe flavour
unlike most tomatoes of it's
color. A great tomatoe for sliceing and plater displays along with
reds. 80 days ( has produced
for me in under 70) (fair)
ROMA VF ---------- italian past tomatoe red egg shaped
fruit is very meaty with little juice
and is good for makeing tomatoe past and sauces.
also makes a nice lunch tomato.
A very heavy producer I picked 3 wooden 7 quart
baskets of them every three to four days!(FAIR)
NAGOYA -- (heirloom)
black tomatoe, acualy ripping a dark mahogany red, small just a bit
biger then a golf ball, but
good production good tast and good tallerence to cool summers and
wet weather.80 days ( has
produced for me in under 70) (limited)
ORANGE BEEFSTAKE - (never seen it ofered before)
This varriety came to me a coupple of years ago when I ordered red
beefstake from a mail order
catalouge (who will remaine nameless for their sake) I grew the
plants in the greenhouse and sold
the plants to my customers. Later that year and all the next year I
recived complaints about the
tomatoes not riping and staying an orange color (some pepole even
left the tomatoes out untill
they rotted exspecting them to riped) so I called the company but
they did not help much, so I
planted the tomatoe my self the next year (let over seed) and sure
enoughf bright orange! (not
the pale orange you usally see I'm talking floresent!) So now I sell
it as a novilty tomato under
the beefstake name unsure of what I really got. (looks great sliced
on hamburges. Tastse just
like a regular beefstake. 75 days (limited)
HILLBILLY POTATO LEAF-(heirloom)
Large potato leafed varriety with large beefstake sized fruit red to
orange red out side leades
to red,orange and yellow marbled fruit inside. Out of the 10 tomatoe
varrieties I grew in the
garden this year this is the one the animals liked best!It seamed
they where eating them faster
then I could pick them and left the other tomatoes with only a bite
or two. So if the racoons and
squirles like them they can't taste to bad. 80 + days (limited)

Trees
** ASH **
A soft wood tree that will grow rather quickly and become a large
specimen tree if desired, will
last for years if prperly maintained ( we have a tree in are front
lawn that is well over 200
years old!) Great shade tree's and nice fall color but is quick to
lose it's leaves and late to
get them back in the spring.(good)
** manitoba maple **
Very fast growing soft wood tree resembling a maple a bit in it's
leavf patern, will grow in a
varriety of sites and in poor soils, good for wind breakes with
populars untill main trees fill
in. Atractive when young can become a bit messy when older because
of it's maple keys and
tendancey to drop twigs and sticks like a willow. Can grow quite
large up to 60 feet in about 30
years. (good)
