Hello to everyone! I am looking to perhaps trade some small young
raspberry or current plants (will need to wait a few more weeks as
spring is just starting to get under way!) for some other kind of bush
or tree. These could be evergreen or deciduous trees or bushes or
hardy flowers (zone 4 or 5). I'm not sure how many I will have until I
see how many volunteers pop up where they don't belong! The raspberries
are domestic(either latham or heritage) and the currents are wild from
my own property. These would be sent bare root(wrapped in moist
papertowls and plastic)so a person would need to "stand prepared" for
arrival!. I use compost on my gardens and "Garden Safe" products from
Shultz only occasionally. I haven't had any kind of serious disease
problems and these currants are covered with berries (which the birds
DEVOUR!). I have many wildlife plantings for all my animal friends on
the property and usually look for "animal attracting" bushes or trees
with berries, cones etc! Thank You!!-Margaret
