Well, the heck with him.

If the list owner is so clueless as to cut out a major source of 
cites, it doesn't mean that I have to be so clueless as to subscribe.

Besides, Alan is a nice, fuzzy, cuddly creature underneath all that 
helpful gruff exterior!
