[SaF] trouble with word

Greatings esteemed and knowledgeable listers!   I have observed that there are some very knowledgeable computer users on this list. and it is to those I would like address this problem. Can any one of you solve my ongoing peculiar  problem. Whenever I save and subsequently close the Word document, or any other document in Ofice97 I get a delay off over one minute before the file (document)actualy closes. Saving of files does not present a problem only    c      l     o    s    i    n   g!       It is driving me nuts but I am only average computer literate. So please I need expert help. there has to be someone that knows what is going on. To save you question: the OS is windows95 first edition, 166 Pentium, 32meg, 1.4gig . 66percent free, virtual memory 32,  32bit. I appreciate in advance any and all help on the subject    Anthony
