Frank, I would keep both.

I know websites stream audio (like internet radios) or video in different
formats so you will need Real or Mplayer depending on the site.

The presets are different too.

Besides, with Mplayer you can save the file you loaded which you can not
with Real (unless with the version I have).

JMHO I have used this programs online only ocassionaly.
