It is likely your friends have made sure they will receive that email for
some time to come. Hitting the removal address merely gives the spammers a
verified address to send mail to - up to that point, their addresses were
possible, but not definite. Never follow spam remove instructions.
Instead, forward all such mail to your ISP, they have the capability to
trace the messages back and force action. You don't. If you go to your
ISP's web site, you'll likely find their spam policy - follow their
instructions. BW
