I have to jot down notes frequently, at work. But I can't
dedicate one hand to carrying a large paper notebook around with
me all day long, so I use a small spiral-bound paper notebook
that fits in my back pocket. The size is perfect, the paper is
cheap and I don't lose it because when I don't need it it goes
in my back pocket - not laid down on a table or someone's desk,
to be forgotten.

The problem with the paper notebook is that I have no way to
organize my notes "as I create them". And then no way to easily
'delete' the notes that I only needed for a few hours or days.
Finding my notes on a certain topic from a "date unknown" is
naturally tedious and if it's in a previously filled notebook,
then the info is NOT in my back pocket any longer. It's in a
drawer back at the office.

Would a Palm Pilot be my solution? Could I take notes and file
them by category? Create new categories at will? Delete at will?
Edit the notes?

I'm not at all interested in an "address book" nor "appointment
schedules" - just "note taking" and filing the notes. I would
more specifically like to use an application like "Treepad" or
"Vizual Einstein". Is this possible with a Palm Pilot? Would it
r-e-a-l-l-y fit in my back pocket? If it does I guess it would
preclude sitting, ay?

How about some good 'screen shots' of what the Palm Pilot does?
Or rather just some good 'detailed' info - in ANY format.
Something more than just little ".gif"s, product codes and price
tags - I can find those easilly enough.

Thanks,
