Hello everyone, Today, Wed Oct 14th, is our inaugural day and also our biggest day for Mining Committee events at SEG 2020.
I wish to welcome everyone from the mining community who is attending SEG 2020. Just a few last minute details: Firstly, with regards to the Election of MG Technical Chair/Key Contact at our Annual Meeting tonight, we now only have one nominee: Dr. Jiajia Sun, Assistant Professor, Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, University of Houston. Of course, we shall recognize and welcome any other nominations, in case anyone else comes forward at the Annual Meeting. And secondly, speaking of Annual Meeting, this is to confirm that the meeting will take place at 5:30-6:30 PM CT (Central Time). Thirdly, I want to encourage everyone who is attending the talks in our oral session MG1 this morning and poster session MGP1 this afternoon to Download the SEG 2020 App and please take the time to review/rate the talks in our session. And lastly, I want to remind everyone that our Mining Keynote is today Wednesday 12:00-1:00PM CT where we’ll be welcoming Dr. Michael Thorpe, Post Doctoral Fellow NASA Johnson Space Center.
