Welcome back!

It's time to start sailing again. I hope everyone had a good summer and
before we get the 08-09 season started off there is the usual administrative
work to be completed.

1. Schools should make sure that their ICSA Directory Administrator is
current. If you are unsure about picking an DA contact me or read that
seciton on the SEISA Website (www.collegesailing.org/seisa/registration.htm)

2. Schools should make sure the information that appears on the ICSA
website is current, this includes:
    a. Contacts
    b. Phone numbers
    c. Team Information
Just look yourself up (www.collegesailing.org/teams.asp) and submit the
necessary changes. Also make sure your team information on the SEISA site is
correct (www.collegesailing.org/seisa/teams.htm). If not contact SEISA
Webmaster Derek Whallen ([EMAIL PROTECTED])

3. You must have an advisor listed as the Graduate Contact (usually your
DA, faculty or Rec Sports advisor) who is responsible for authorizing
students to compete.

4. Please be sure to have all new and returning sailors complete their
eligibility requirements to ensure you are sailing with eligible sailors.
This includes registering on the ICSA individual Directory (
www.collegesailing.org/directory/individual/) as well as all paperwork for
your school and completing the swim test. Sailors are also required to
subscribe to the SEISA and ICSA e-mail lists. Instructions: (
www.collegesailing.org/seisa/communication.htm) Captains it is your
responsibility to make sure this gets done.

**NOTICE** I will be checking RP's to ensure that all sailors are
registered, if a team member is not you will be disqualified.

5. Remember the team uniform requirement, uniforms are now required for all
events. Failure to wear a uniform is 20 points added to your division score.

If you have any questions or concerns about starting the semester please
feel free to contact me or any of the other SEISA officers (
www.collegesailing.org/seisa/officers.htm). I also recommend reading the
SEISA handbook as well as the rest of the Resources (
www.collegesailing.org/seisa/resources.htm) and coaching (
www.collegesailing.org/seisa/coaching.htm) sections of the SEISA website. If
you want more coaching stuff Jake and I are happy to provide it.

Sincerely,
Blake Billman
